HOW WE HELP

The right starting point.
A useful result.

Work directly with a One Logic principal, alongside your business and IT teams—from defining the business question through implementation. Choose the starting point that fits your priority.

MICROSOFT DATA & AI

Microsoft expertise.
Applied where it fits.

The starting point is the business decision, your existing systems and the investment you have already made. We assess whether Microsoft Fabric fits the information you need to bring together, the reporting you need and your team’s ability to run it.

We compare that with extending your current tools or taking a simpler approach. Licensing, capacity, support and day-to-day ownership are part of the decision, so you understand the ongoing cost before choosing a platform.

ONE LOGIC ENGAGEMENT / ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE

Bringing health and safety reporting into a shared Fabric foundation.

Work in progress

One Logic is leading the design and evolution of a Microsoft Fabric environment, working with health and safety stakeholders to bring more than 30 reporting models into a unified, governed model. The work connects operational sources with shared KPI definitions, semantic models and reporting standards.

The shared reporting foundation is being built; consolidation is ongoing.

CAPABILITIES BEHIND THE WORK

Explore what your priority needs.

Business decisions lead. The right information, platforms and engineering make the improvement possible.

01Data strategy and governanceWhich information deserves investment first?

When reports disagree or AI priorities compete for attention, a shared direction begins with the decisions the business needs to make. We connect those decisions with source information, ownership and a practical investment sequence.

  • Priority decisions and the information they depend on
  • Shared definitions, accountable owners and access boundaries
  • A phased roadmap with acceptance measures

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE

Start with project margin: agree what cost belongs to a project, who owns each measure and when managers need the information.

Governance should fit the operating task. The scope and responsibilities are agreed with business and technology owners.

02Microsoft Fabric and Power BICan leaders rely on the same performance measures?

A dashboard becomes useful when its definitions, source information and refresh process can be trusted. We assess where Fabric and Power BI can support that need, what your existing systems already do well and what your team can maintain. A shared management view may call for an improvement to current tools or a broader data platform.

  • A management view shaped around an operating decision
  • Consistent measures and clear information ownership
  • An implementation choice with licensing, support and operating responsibilities understood

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE

Bring location performance into a comparable view while making reporting periods, exceptions and data freshness visible.

Choose the platform after assessing business need, existing investments, access, internal capability and ongoing cost. Simpler options remain part of that assessment.

03Data engineering and integrationWhy does each report require another reconciliation?

Information spread across enterprise systems, spreadsheets and operating workflows often needs consistent preparation before it can support a decision. We shape connections and data pipelines around the information that matters.

  • Defined source-to-report relationships
  • Repeatable transformations with quality checks
  • Documented ownership, monitoring and handover

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE

Connect job activity and financial records using agreed identifiers and periods, with exceptions visible for review.

We preserve useful existing systems. Integration depends on available interfaces, permissions, data quality and operating constraints.

04Applied AI enablementWhere is repetitive information handling slowing your team down?

Start with one recurring task, such as preparing work-order records from incoming documents or finding current operating guidance. We assess the handling effort, information permissions and person responsible for the result, then compare AI with simpler options. A useful first step can fit within your existing systems.

  • One defined workflow, permitted documents and a responsible reviewer
  • Evaluation against representative examples, including missing or incorrect information
  • A decision based on accuracy, review effort and ongoing cost

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE

Prepare a draft work-order record with the job reference, dates and work requested. Show the source document and flag missing or uncertain details. A person checks and corrects the draft before it enters the existing workflow.

This is an illustrative use case. Begin with one document type, preserve human approval and validate the workflow before live use.

05Management information and performance reportingWhat is moving performance—and where can you act?

Leadership needs a consistent view of activity, cost and results. We help connect operational and financial information so recurring reports support a management decision rather than another round of manual assembly.

  • Agreed measures for margin, utilization or location performance
  • A recurring reporting process with visible exceptions
  • Named owners and a review rhythm tied to decisions

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE

Trace a margin change to its operating drivers using consistent job, labour and equipment definitions.

The right reporting frequency depends on source freshness and the decision. We do not assume real-time information is necessary or available.

HOW THE WORK MOVES FORWARD

From the decision to daily use.

01 / UNDERSTAND

Start with the decision.

Agree what needs to be decided, why it matters and what makes it difficult today.

A shared definition of the problem and the result worth pursuing.

02 / TRACE

Trace the information.

Trace the relevant figures, definitions and workflows. Preserve what already works and identify the gaps that matter.

A practical direction, with the tradeoffs and investment made clear.

03 / PUT TO USE

Make the improvement usable.

Build the agreed solution with your team, check it against the source information and help people use it in their work.

A working capability, clear ownership and a way to judge its usefulness.

Bring us the decision you need to make.

We’ll discuss the business context and identify an appropriate next step.
